I recently removed the eq from my 951 and connected a new stereo directly to the speakers.
But I'd like to understand something about the eq, even if I don't need it any more: why does it have 2 sets of signal inputs?
Here is the wiring info: http://continentalimports.com/in_bea_80.html
I had tried connected the stereo's speaker outputs to the 2-pin DIN speaker inputs on the eq, but it didn't work - I got no sound. I had to connect the 7-pin DIN connector to make it work (even though I supplied power and I saw the unit light up). Maybe it also needs switched power via the circular 7-pin DIN but that still doesn't explain why bother with the 2-pin speaker connections?
