Default Early offset or late?

What is the difference on the front control arms early or late?

The part # I have is 951-341-150. do I need the late offset to run a 8" rim on the front?

How can I tell if the rear-end is early or late offset?

The car working on is a 1986 but i have access to a 88 turbo but I think all of the original 88 turbo stuff was replaced with early offset stuff and a 87 (this is at a different location) and cannot measure it now.

Making a lemons car and I want to run 8" rims so I can have all tires and rims the same (square)

Thanks

DAVE

You can run 8" wheels with either offset, but arms offset needs to match with the wheels you are using.

83-86 cars use a shorter suspension arm and 23.3 mm offset.

87+ cars use longer arms and 52.3 mm offset. However stock the track was the same so you need to use early wheels with early suspension and late wheel with late suspension. There are certain circumstances you can mix that, but it is not recommended.

I don't know the part numbers involved.

the part # of what I have and believe to be the early offset is 951-341-150.01 front suspension arm
13" (330 mm) center of ball joint to bushing

What is the part # for the late offset Front
What is the part # for the late offset Rear

Thanks
