Good question and not splitting hairs but it is a 3.5 bar not a 3.8. I found this on a VW Forum....

2.5 Bar
Porsche 924-S, 944 (2/85-88), 944 Turbo (86-89)
Bosch # 0 280 160 227
(Call dealer for Porsche #)
3.0 Bar
Stock on G60 Corrado
Bosch # 0 280 160 235
(Call dealer for VW #, or look on FPR)
3.5 Bar
Porsche 944-S, 2.5L DOHC 16V, 190hp
Bosch # 0 280 160 263
(Call dealer for Porsche #)
*This is sold with most Stage 2/3 kits
3.8 Bar
Porsche 944S2, 968; 3.0L DOHC 16V, 208hp
Bosch # 0 280 160 287
Porsche # 944 110 198 06
4.0 Bar

.... the truth has to be out there

Yeah, you are. I just happened to have the PSI for 3.8 at the ready so instead of looking up 3.5 I just used the figure that I had, kinda like a spare part.

I found what I thought was a good deal on FPR and Damper via AutoZone's website, with 15% off coupon code I paid $180 for both components as coming from GP Sorensen. Turns out both are Bosch units and considering the Bosch units are either unobtainium OR priced at multiple hundreds EACH, I'm stoked.

I'll run 2.5 bar for now and keep the 3.5 bar unit on the shelf.
