Default Hot air blowing in car

Hi my 89 Turbo blows hot air through the heater vents under hard acceleration even when the ac is on. Any ideas......? With thanks Gary

You are losing vacuum that keeps the heater valve closed.

Check the vacuum canister next to the battery. Under boost the engine produces no vacuum therefore relying on the reservoir (sp) to keep the heater control valve closed.

There also 2 clips on the actuator arm from the vacuum control to the flapper that break often . Just replaced mine . They are located on the drivers side of the car under the dash behind the console . Hope this helps .
