K and N Air intake system
Have a 90 S2 cab. has anyone switched the OEM air filtration system to a K & N intake? Pros and Cons. Also if I do make the change how hard is the swap and where are the best places to purchase

I put one in my '87 years ago but never felt any difference. After a few years of reading concerns about them allowing too much dust in without any real gain I pulled it back out and replaced it with a paper flter. Again, I never felt any difference.
Personally, I'd spend the money on beer instead.

Don't do it, it will only let more junk into the engine by filtering poorly. The S2 gets more air then necessary in the stock location as it is. Save the money for a Miller MAF kit when it is available for a 3.0l or for suspension parts.

They're right on about the filter. Thing is, the location of the OEM filter is designed as a "cold air" intake, which is exactly what you want anyway. I'm saving for the Miller MAF KIT for my 87 NA.

I didn't do the cone on my 924S, but I did do the reg. K&N filter. The place I noticed the biggest difference was I got better MPG.
