Default Painting rims - need ideas

So I have a set of phone dials for my track/AX tires. They look ok for track wheels, no chips or curb rash, but the finish is yellowing. Thinking of painting them. Any color suggestions? Car is Linen Metallic Grey (think gold). Anyone have pictures of painted wheels on a similar car color? Black is the obvious choice but was thinking I could do something else for the track.

Chrysler Hemi Orange. It's a track car...you can get away with it, and deep down you've always wanted orange wheels.

Yea, I actually agree.

For track wheels try something bright. Neon Green, Bright Orange, Dark Red

For paint i can recommend Rust-o-leum Stops Rust spray paint. It’s a really hard enamel, which stands up really well to Gas, Oil, Brake Dust. I painted a set of wheels and three motorcycles with it!! And at $5.00 a can you can afford to change the color every couple months…

p.s. Doing some light wet sanding, and polishing i was able to see my reflection in all the mentioned paint jobs... people didn't believe it was spray painted...

Thanks for the ideas, keep them coming. One thought was to paint them such an awful color no one would ever steal them

The only one of those that I really like is the last one. I know, it seems kind of boring to go with the dark gray, but it seems to me that a metallic car needs metallic colored wheels.

My car was gold, and the matching gold fuchs looked pretty decent. I painted the car red and they looked horrible. Now, they're black with a matching red stripe, and I think they look great.

Just my opinions.

Do Graphite it's not as exciting as some of the other suggestions but it's good for track wheels because it doesn't show brake dust. Plus it looks badass, at least on my red car it does.

Wink Paint wheel

+2 on the Rust-o-leum. I used Silver Metallic followed with their Clear and it came
out very nice. Of course this is colse to the stock color, but the guy who painted my car said they looked like a pro-paint job. Sanded with 220 and 320 grit first.

if you're going to go the rattle can route check out rustoleum hammered finish. it's a seriously tough paint, and it comes out intentionally mottled, so you have to use zero care and it looks good.

It's fiberglass reenforced and sticks to EVERYTHING. like, that's both a good and bad thing.
