Default 931 IN LAS VEGAS

I went to look at a '80 931 that is for sale in Vegas yesterday.

Man, that car needs a LOT of love. Pictures make the car look decent, but the body was beat up pretty badly. The front air dam was cracked at the bumper, the front fenders were cracked at the wheel wells, and the rear fender flares had cracks as well. The interior was pretty trashed, but was all there. It obviously needed a warm up regulator, as it took about 7 minutes of it running before I could give it any throttle. It did run decent after that, but the motor felt TIRED and the shifting was sloppy as a 2 dollar hooker. I didn't even get it a block before I turned around and took it back to the guy. Car is maybe worth $1000, even with the aftermarket GTS kit.

Pity, I thought it looked ok from the pics as well. There was one here in Jackson for sale a year ago, motor was strong, from what I heard, but the body needed alot of work. Didn't have the body kit, and the owner was asking $3,500 for it. If it would have been $1,500 I would have thought about it.

Yeah, from the pics in the ad, it seemed like I was gonna own 3 Porsches. Kinda glad it was in the shape it was in, as I have too many things to do to my 928 and really don't need another car to dump money into.
