dug up the specs on that driver....
the subwoofer driver is a Rockford Fosgate P3D410 P3 10" deep mount tranducer w/ duel voice coils (not the popular, shallow unit) the product is designed to work with very small enclosures... it's not the correct transducer for use with a larger standard box that you put in the back of your Nissan Pathfinder
FEATURES:
•10" subwoofer with dual 4ohm voice coils
•fiber cone reinforced with Kevlar with polyetherester surround
•"Venturi effect" design for maximum cooling of motor structure
•power range: 50-400 watts RMS (200 watts per voice coil)
•peak power handling: 800 watts
•frequency response: 29-250 Hz
•sensitivity: 83 dB
•top-mount depth: 6-1/4"
•sealed box volume: 0.5-0.75 cubic feet -- [yeah !! i couldn't believe this part either - but there it is !!].
i asked Rick the installer, what the deal was and he said. "we're at the correct enclosure size for this woofer design."
he used packaging popcorn to measure the enclosure. the sealed box we used is .72 cubic feet when after installing the transducer.

Pauly just check photos on my FB page(FB must have changed links as thats were pics linked from). I put them inside zip lock bags and then cable tied them closed to seal against water. I then fitted them up on the engine side of window rail

Sweet, i did exact that!
I'll get some of my photos up of what i did. I saw your FB message but i've deactivated my account so can't reply LOL. But i know what you mean with the old grill marks but because i'm just running their grills, and my doors are burgundy the oval spacers look more appropriate.

So at the moment, i've got 2 audioline 2 channel amps i had since i was a kid powering my system. They've been though hell and back so it's just okay for now. I'm looking at a few different options of amps but i'm really keen on the JL Audio XD4004 or even do the XD7005. Just because they're very small in size.
