wiring and seal question 86 951
So I just picked up my 1986 951...first drive across the city to bring her home! Love the car!
A lot of mechanical work has already been done to the car..it is not a perfect example and I wanted something I can play with and fix up over time...so this car is perfect for me!
First couple things I want to address is the trunk seal...It looks like it has shrunk over the years and there is a 1-2" gap...where is a good place to get a good seal?
Also the interior lights, horn and hatch release dont work...Where can I get a good wire diagram of the car? I have a feeling they may all be related.
Once I get these adressed I will have a look at the aftermarket sterio with weak reception and see if i can get the dash lights to be a bit brighter...they are dim and some of the other lights in HVAC head are out.
This is my first of many posts on projects I have for the car

These are vague schematics, but they might point you in the right direction. For interior light problems make sure your door ajar switches are good. The ajar switch in my car is going out causing my interior lights to flicker and sometimes not illuminate.
Use a test light at the hatch motor. Check for power and ground.

Thanks MAX for that post...found a pulled wire on the horn and a fuse that fixed up the hatch and interior lights! I think there is a door switch problem but at least they work! I hope all things are this easy to fix haha
May move forward and tackle the seat covers and cracked dash next
