Default Swain/Ceramic/Jet Hot exhaust manifold?

Looking for opinions...

My 951 exhaust manifold has "those cracks", and I'm trying to decide what to do. High-dollar manifolds (LR, SFR, BB, etc) aren't an option for my budget, and I'm not sure if I'm sold on the eBay manifold after reading the looong thread.

I'm thinking about removing the heat shields, having everything welded up, then getting it heat coated. Has anyone else done that? I'm mostly curious about substituting a heat coating for the shields... Is that recommended or not?

My goal is a low-ish cost option to get a non-cracked manifold installed while reducing under-hood temps. Suggestions?

you can remove the heat sheilds if you want to and have the headers coated, but with none of the above,

get super hight temp black. you can't buy the stuff, it has to be coated and baked by a shop that does it.

Get a good used manny that's not cracked, and have it coated. The welds may break down over time and you'll be back in the same boat again.

BTDT.
