How are you planning on getting the car there without coolant in it?

Fix or tow.

How do you know the coolant cap is good? Mine was bad and allowed coolant to spill out of the overflow line which attaches to the top of the coolant resevoir near the cap. This overflow line is routed at the bottom of the engine bay. My car would only leak coolant on hot days after I pulled it into the garage. Because the car was standing still and was heatsoaking the pressure built and would leave a nice puddle on the garage floor. Do yourself a favor and buy a cheap cap.
