Anyone here in the Bay Area have a stock 944 header laying around that I can borrow? I'm prepping a 968 motor to drop into my 944 and I need to cut/rotate/weld the flange on the 968 header in order for it to bolt up to the stock exhaust.

 

Send a PM to "josephsc", he is near Berkeley and should have a complete 968 exhaust sitting in his basement.

It will fit but it will look funny because the 968 tailpipe does a bend and come out a few inches to the side. You can live with it or cut off the tailpipe and weld on something straight, or just replace the whole muffler, or buy a sport catback.

If you want to borrow a set of 944 NA headers, I have a set sitting in the garage. They're cast iron but the dimensions are identical between tubular and cast.
