Default Brake fluid replacement fun

Decided to replace the brake fluid in the 944 today. All was going just fine, love my motive brake bleeder, and that last little turn on the last bleeder screw, just to make sure.....snap. Oh this should be entertaining. No prob, ez-out, and replace the bleeder. Bolt remover in, and just to make sure...snap. Wonder what the odd are, that I will find a left front caliper for an 86 944 n/a, anywhere within reason of Conroe Texas on a Sunday. Looks like it's a good thing the e30 vert is running. May have to drive that to work Monday.

Just the other week I snapped off the exact same bleeder. I took a torx bit, and hammered it into the bleeder, and used my impact drill to back it out. Good luck!

Drill bit and an easy out.

Twenty minutes, tops.

Exactly what I was thinking, thank you. Except there is already an bit extractor broken off inside the bleeder.

No replacement bleeder readily available, however, I was able to source a reman caliper for $80.00. Picked up, installed, re-bled (carefully tightend bleeders). All seems right with the world again. Put gas in wife's e30 vert. Back to the daily driver status for my old favorite.
