Early vs Late sway bar question
Will an '87 turbo sway bar set up mount on my early 85?
Any problems becuase of the different lower control arms, and trailing arms?
My car does not have a rear bar so I was going to use the mounting from the 87 turbo.
Possible?
Thanks as always.

just need new '87 turbo bushings for the front and rear and you'll need the links for the rear since your car didn't come with any. the front brackets are the same, its just a different rubber bushing that has a larger opening for the larger bar. the rear would be the same situation if you had a rear bar to begin with. but i suspect you'll want to hear from someone else too

they will work, i have turbo sways on my early as well. for the back, just use the bushings sized for the turbo bar and the droplinks. i might have spares if you need them.
on the front, the inner sway bushings will work in the standard brackets but the outer attachments are different from early to late cars; you will have to modify an early outer bushing to fit the larger turbo bar. this means drilling the hole out a little.

OK that works, drilling out or making some new outer bushings is no big deal .
I wasn't sure if where the drop links attached was in the same location from the steel to the cast arms.
Thanks
