Default CONSIDERING A 931 - NON RUNNING

I am considering a 1980 931 that appears to be in good shape, but hasn't run in 4 or 5 years. The owner states that the motor will turn over, but doesn't start. I am having him run a compression check on it, and I am going to go look at it when I return from vacation in a couple of weeks. There is a huge story behind the car, and how the current owner came by it, but some of it doesn't add up. I think I'm going to go look at it anyway, even if I don't purchase. For what he is asking, I can buy it and if too far gone, I can easily part it to make my money back. Anybody familiar with 931's that can give me some major things to look at? I am also wanting to attempt to make it run momentarily on starting fluid to ease my mind on the bottom end of the motor - I really don't want that large of a project for a 931! Any tips or suggestions on things to look at, or what may turn out to be a hard to find part if needed, is greatly appreciated.

depending on the condition, if it is a 1980 931...i might have a minor interest in the rear suspension, torque tube and transmission....

megasquirt+crank trigger ignition=all problems solved.

If mine wasn't so nice I'd really be tempted...
