Default looking for spare tire well (yes, the hump area)

If anyone has a total'd / completely wrecked out 944, 944 turbo, 944s, etc (no matter the year), I am looking for the hump that hangs down and the spare tire sits in. I would need it to be cut out of the car in 1 piece, so that just the half circle portion is intact.

Please PM, reply here to this thread, or email me at steinsgarage@gmail.com if you know if where i can get one.

I'm in the Columbus Ohio area and it would be nice to find one that does not require shipping but I'll consider shipping to.

Oh, I need this for my race car. I have to bolt it back on to be spec legal

Tom,
You only need it if you are running a steel gas tank. If you have late plastic gas tank it hangs down lower and due to this we allow not using the spare tire well.

Now my personal feeling is that even with plastic tank the undercar airflow is better with the spare tire well as it creates a smoother air flow path under the car.

I have the steel tank so I need the hump. I don't have any plans to go to the plastic tank.

although i will be pulling the trans to swap the 5th gear out.

BTW Joe, do you have some photos or a write up from your 5th gear swap? I recall from a prior post that you were going to write something up on the ordeal ?
