new seals and carpet
just purchased a 1988 944. its quite dirty. wanted to get all new carpet and seals. is there a place that people have found to have a good selection of parts. seen people post that they got door seals and they werent the same. i want to get the interior back to original and use as little vinyl as possible. in searching i found automotion. wasnt sure if anybody has used them thanks

944 0nline , jamie and ian are great. I bought my door seals from them and a lot of interior trim pieces ... all posche oem. for carpet I was patient and found a very good OEM set from a fellow rennlister ... lots of the after market stuff is eh...so so. there are some other good vendors for sure, pelican parts, vertex auto, ...automotion is ok too , but DO NOT buy that cheapo carpet set they sell....I did buy all my HUSH MATT ( for under carpet ) from them, ... IMO the OEM carpet set is what you want . Just ask around and be patient , there always a car that gets totaled .

oh , also got new ( recovered ) leather seats through 944 online ...real happy with em ! 800 bucks for the pair ... If I remember correctly. whats nice is you can talk to these guys they own and dissmantle 944s. great service

thanks for the info. wanna do it right. had this car in college and have always liked the way they looked. cant beat a 4 banger in this high priced gas market. between my hotrod that runs on race gas and my diesel truck i will be spending a lot of time in it. cool thing about the car is that it has the carrera gt head unit with nav. pretty funny. your re-covered seats r they in leatherette. thanks
