S has smaller valves, different cams, different shape head gasket.

IIRC the S and S2 are radically different, even beyond the size of the valves, the cams, or the head gasket... one is sized and shaped for a 2.5 block, the other is sized and shaped for a 3L block... 2 different animals, and NOT interchangeable without significant changes to the head or block!

Valves are the same size on both heads, cam profiles are a bit different.

Most important differences are 100 mm vs 104 mm combustion chamber and different water passage.

Hey Curt,

Man you and your pap are getting a very nice garage of Porsche cars together on your Avatar! How do you choose which one to drive on any given day?
