It looks like that is the sub I got. Shoot. My GF bought it for me for Xmas this past year. I wonder if I should try and return it. It was bought a few months ago though.

That would be your call, but if it were me I'd construct my own enclosure out of fiberglass. If this is something you don't want to do yourself, I'm sure you could find someone to do it for you. You can certainly find another 8" driver to work with the KLA enclosure if you're set on having that enclosure, but the JBL driver really is a great little sub. I tried to talk my buddy into letting it go with the car, but he wasn't having any of it and I know of several guys on other forums that I'm on that use it and like it very much. From what I remember, these examples I'm referring to are all smaller cars like our P-cars where space is a consideration.
And by the way, there were Alpine speakers up front on my buddy's 84 that were driven by the head unit and we were driving the sub with a 12 year old amp that I brought out of storage. I honestly don't remember the brand, but it was a 100W X 2 that we bridged to drive the sub. Once I got the system dialed in for him he was very happy with the setup.
Good luck.

Just go ape and replace the back seat with a fitted fiberglass/mdf box and dual 10's . I can still stuff my mountain bike in the car or get 2 people to the mountain to ski/snowboard with gear stored in the hatch.
I run a cheap MBquart class D amp to push the 2-10" JL 10w3's in mine, works great. Dad has an Alpine PDX.1000.1 in his S2 and it kicks major *** too, small and efficient! I use a PDX 100.4 for the rest of my speakers.
