Transplanting 968 motor in 944 need flywheel feed back. The two I am looking at are Spec and fidanza
I'm not sure if fidanza flywheel will fit in 944 bellhousing it looks like it is the size of the dual mass.
Thanks Casey

If you're using a 944 torque tube, you'll need a 944 bell housing. I'd think you'd want to use the turbo flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and bell housing.

Yes, the flywheel used would be dependent on the DME being used. They all have a different number of teeth.
Any DME other than the 968 DME will require tuning to handle the different flywheel, and running the 3.0L motor.
The MUCH easier setup would be keeping the 968 DME, Flywheel, and engine together.

You need to use the S2 flywheel / clutch / bellhousing setup.
Keeping the 968 flywheel is the harder way because then you also need to find and install (which is a bitch of a job) the 968 torque tube.

Techno and M73 are correct. If you are using the 968 DME, then you need to use the correct # of teeth flywheel, which is 60-2.

Yes, S2 flywheel and clutch. I would then suggest adding the S2 crank pulley with the harmonic damper to help keep the vibration down since you are not running a dual-mass flywheel. 968 ECU goes without saying!
EDIT - I didn't realize that porsheminitech was you Casey. Shoot me an email or give me a call and you can come over and see my car (SC 968 engine in a 944S). I'll be working in the garage all this weekend getting the car ready for a test and tune at Tigpri next Wed.
