Default Question About These Phone Dials

Hey guys I just have a question about the phonies in this picture... are they painted or polished? They are really nice looking in this photo.
Thanks!

Both!

Definitely cool looking. Looks polished to me, with the inside of the circles and lug nut holes painted black.

Looks like they are polished. I like that look, but I have heard that Phones don't really polish well, I had mine blasted and powder coated.

The previous owner had the original coating on the wheels stripped and them had them polished. By the time I bought the car they were completely oxidized and tarnished. Much elbow grease and polishing compound later I got them looking like this. I keep them maintained now with a Flitz polishing ball and Mother's billet polish. I have polished wheels before myself and have used a heavy duty paint stripper to remove the factory coating. They look great but it is an ongoing maintenance issue.
