When my wipers are on, and I turn them off, they do not go back all the way down by themselves, and instead stop at whatever position they were last at.
I took out the relay, changed the capacitor, resoldered all joints, but still no help. Anyone have any other ideas of where I should be looking to try solving this problem?

hmm... still sounds like your relay... do you get the intermittent operation too? my 84 had this problem as well. i took the relay out the circuit board was cracked in half. i super-glued and jumped the connection that was broken, and shazam! intermittent wipers and i don't have to stop 'em by myself anymore... <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

try that relay again!!!

Maybe this will work on my 84....has the same symptoms...no park and no interm.
