It's not daily driven, but it could be. I've only owned it since September, but already put 2500 miles on it just for giggles. It was daily driven by its first two owners.

DLarsen, you WIN! Kudos to you for having such a beautiful car, especially considering the mileage. You're my hero, you drive the heck out of it and keep good care of it!
BTW I love that interior option.

FRporscheman........thanks for the kind words. When I purchased this car new in 1986; I selected only 2 options: cruise control and the paint - Graphic Metallic W9. The interior fabric on the seats are pinstripe flannel - Anthracite. Lots of options back then; which drove the cost of purchase up.
I'd heard of other rennlisters out there with over 300,000 miles on their 944's with original motor. I hope to surpass that mark some day. Barely put 5,000/yr on it now. My son turns 16 in August...........

248xxx. Daily driven at 17lbs of boost for well over 150k miles, DEed and loved. Also one of the sharpest 951s around. I re-ringed the motor at 160k and will start building a replacement soon. It is eating a lot of oil now and I think the bores are just worn.
The picture was from last weekend.

Wow, I'm (pleasantly) surprised to see so many people here with high mileage. I knew 944s could last a long, long time, and I'm glad to see there are so many of us who refuse to let them die.
I wish I could keep racking on the miles with my 968 but I think I better rebuild the motor soon. Does my high mileage still count if I rebuild the motor?

I have a pic of my odometer as it crossed 300,000 Miles (450,000 KM). Year round daily driver for many years and regular autocrosser. I'll dig it up and post it later. This was my old 87 944, the 951 has 230,000 km and it continues to run fast track times and summer driving duty.
