So, would a 944S with a blown motor be a good V8 donor?

crusing the highway with an lsx engine at 70 mph, i want my top gear keeping the engine down around 1900~2200 rpm. that's the proper rpm to be making there. who was it that informed me about taller gears for a '44 box ? it seems there is a set of gears that will fiT that will drop that rpm way down. i'll give this guy a call tomorrow and find out what gear out of "where" can be installed.

for 968 guys, there is exactly 1 audi transmission that has correct sized gears that will fit a 968 box.
