First night out driving with the new engine!
Wow...I missed that car so much. I extensively tested everything, it's been about six and a half months since I last drove it. I was reimpressed by the handling. The brakes were superb. Even has a little more power than my old engine. I know this kinda off topic, but just wanted to share, I'm too pumped up to just sit here. I may go drive again.

Glad to see you got your car going. Yeah, I know what you mean. I get paid this coming Thursday(I am totally broke right now) and that day I plan to be down at AutoZone, Pep Boys, whatever, buying plugs and so forth, coming home and installing all of it. Basically tuning it up for a smog test and getting it ready to be insured and become a daily driver. The thing hasn't been lovingly driven in years....

Tried to swap out the cooling fans relay ...destroyed the relay and broke the relay socket.
So much fun up under the dash.
Glad you had better luck !!

Congrats on getting her back on the road. Take a joy ride for me! You really do forget the joy of the car when months pass when you cannot drive it.

Thanks for all the comments/congrats guys. Tonight was good, but had to limp home. After a 120mph jaunt...I mean, a trip down the highway...a plug took a dump on me and left me with a 1.875L 3-cylinder. Off to the shop tomorrow for some plugs.
Hang in there triscadek...Dave, you are right, it is good to be in it again...Tim, no smog tests here ...mrmunky, I know what you mean by waiting for it to get out of the shop...Der Cup, sorry man, I haven't had to mess with the relay yet, only thermal switch...Perry, take a joy ride for you, I thought your's was going? It's been awhile since I checked on your progress. Take care of your cars guys, and they will attract attention.

I didn't do the race noises, but did play with the gas, clutch, and shifter some.
