Yeah the sound is only there when you're at like WOT or high rpms like 4k and above. Cruising down the highway you barely hear the car at all..

I hate to encourage this sort of behavior, but...

Travis - did you try the method I spoke to you about? If not, you should. The sound is not only created by the open panel, but also from the velocity of air and amount of vibratory material. Drilling the four 2" holes I suggested will probably give you more sound over a broader range. The theory is sound (yuck, yuck), but I'm not sure what will happen in practice.

What you are hearing now is mostly the sounds of air ingestion around the throttle. A trick that some posers find amusing is to drill smaller holes in the pre-filter area to create whistle-like sounds. Almost sounds like a turbo spooling. Another trick these posers try is drilling the post-cleaner airway... that's just plain stupid, but it does create even more and different sounds.

Further, Travis, you could watch Ebay for the Turbo-effect exhaust vortex shreader.
