Checking to see if anyone has had this situation or any ideas I haven' thought of. 1986 951 - 42k on the odo. Just bought it about 3 months ago and have only put about 1k on it myself. I found some items I wanted to redo during the winter while it was off the road. Car ran well but was low on boost. Turned out to be cycling valve . After pondering ideas decided to lightly modify for more power and maintenance items. Venturi delete/mbc/tial 36mm wastegate/Broadfoot exhaust/3.0 fpr. Also pulled whole interior and changed from burgandy to black. Started the car and idled fine. Couldn't drive (8" snow)but got to operating temp and everything was fine. Decided to install my new Autothority chips. When I removed the vacuum line from the klr, it had fuel in most of the line. Don't know how it got there. Cleaned the line out, rehooked everything and let it idle. Removed the vacuum line again and smaller amount of fuel, but still fuel in the line. Removed the vacuum lines from the fpr and damper - no fuel present. How did the fuel get there? Is the klr most likely dead with fuel going into it?

Not sure how the heck fuel would've gotten in there. It is a lot more typical to see some oil residue from blow by on the turbo. I would inspect the injectors and make sure they are functioning correctly. Could pick up a spare KLR as well - they usually only go for $100 or less. Did you see fuel in any of the other vacuum lines?

I had the exact same problem when I purchased mine. KLR line had 2 inches of liquid at the KLR. Didn't smell like gas, didn't feel like oil. It actually felt more like water, but it hasn't returned in 5 years, so I haven't looked since.
BTW, post up in the Turbo section for quicker, 951 specific advice.

that line only feeds vac to the klr for the factory gauge. Not sure how the fuel would get in there, but running a 3bar regulator w/ chips or larger injectors can cause it to run rich. Sounds to me like the fuel regulator is leaking into the line though.
