the bolt hole that does the pivoting for the speed and reference sensor bracket is stripped on my car.
i was thinking of getting a bolt that would go through the hole but small enough to barely not thread, then put a nut on the other side (since you can get to it).
i was also thinking heli-coil, but i really doubt i could find a way to drill out the hole.
has anyone had this problem before?
if so, what was your solution?
or does mine sound like it will work?
thank you,
nick

Nick, while you are working around the open bell housing don't forget to plug the open hole with rags or tape. You don't want anything falling into the holes and cause you more headaches.

Does that hole go all the way through? If so, put a bolt through it because:
a) the pivot has sleeve locator that will keep it in place, so all you need is to clamp it.
b) there is no way you will be able to get a helicoil kit in there!
