Default Has anyone ever tried these?

I am looking at replacing the front control arm bushings on my S2 while I rebuild the ball-joints and I stumbled across a rubber set made by Elephant Racing. Has anyone ever tried these? It seems that the only places that make replacement bushings are either Paragon, Elephant Racing or Weltmeister (I've heard very bad things about their bushings.)

Here is a link: http://www.elephantracing.com/suspen...erbushings.htm

Thanks,

Justin

The elephant racing rubber bushings are the best non solid bushings you can buy... IMHO. Their solid bushings are the best solid ones you can buy as well, again.. IMHO.
The largest issue with this is that the removal of the old bushings can be a bear. You have to remove the metal sleeve that is pressed into the aluminum control arm to use any replacement bushings that are available right now. Vice, metal punch, hammer, vice.. etc..
I have it down pretty good with some special blocks made up plus a press and its still a pain.

I found a company in an issue of Excellence that redid the control arm bushings and ball joint in my 968. He had 968 control arms and late 944 control arms available. The price was very low and he even waived the core fee. Now after saying all these great things about this company, i can't find the ad or any info on who they were... I'll keep looking!

Im assuming you just want replacement, and not necessarily an upgrade?

Can you buy the front bushings OE? Elephant's stuff is top notch but paying $140 for four rubber bushings makes me mutter to myself.

Thats what im told, and he even does the work with a new ball joint. I think it was around 380. He also painted the control arms, very professional. Now i just need to keep looking for the company's name!
