Exclamation Wiring the Turbo Coolant Pump

I'm wiring the turbo coolant pump into a non-turbo car and I'm wondering if anyone has done it before. I've included the bit from the electrical diagram.

There are at least 5 wires I need to work with here. I'm a noob when it comes to wiring so any help is appreciated!

I'm afraid that I don't have an answer, but I will ask the obvious question: why are you putting a turbo coolant pump in an NA?

I'm putting a turbo motor in my S and I definitely want to utilize this feature. I imagine there will be a degree of ingenuity involved in this project.

Yea, the wire coming from it is. However, there is no infrastructure for the water pump relay. That is what I need to splice in.

Well, I guess I'll be documenting this over the weekend for those of us brave souls doing engine swaps. :P

Just find a dry turbo, and be done with it!

Or just loop your coolant lines through the turbo without using the pump... a many of Turbos have been run this way...

You will want what is called a "turbo timer" to perform this function. You will spend as much money integrating a delay off latching relay into the circuit as a Greddy turbo timer will cost. The plug on the turbo circulation pump is 2 wires, one is <+> and the other is <-> charged. If you hook up the wires it will turn one way, reverse them and it will run the other direction. You need to find out which way it needs to turn to intake from the bottom and flow out the side of the pump. Then connect the timer to the connector feeding the pump.

It's not complicated and you will have control over how long the water circulates through the turbo after shut down.

Meant to add, normally this would leave the car running for a prescribed period of time after the key is turned of, but I am sure it will work as well just powering the pump...
