Thanks for the kind words and offers, you guys are the best
The shock towers look ok.
the front ends of the frame rails look like they may be pushed over to the right a bit, wont know till I get the thing apart.
The only thing I am concerned about at this point is the rear control arm mount, its bent back about 1/2"
that and the cost of the front clip.
The story here is I was late cause the car stopped twice on the highway (never did figure this out).
I overshot the exit but decided to take it anyway.
heavy braking on a wet slippery off ramp is a recipe for disaster.
I kinda cut a car off coming accross from the outside lane, I was checking my mirror to make sure I didnt make him stand on the brakes. then I see the slow moving semi on the ramp.
I locked up but was going to hit the back of the trailer, I let up and steered left into the wall.
I feel foolish, I have no idea why I took the exit, for the sake of ten minutes I could have taken the next one.
No excuses, I goofed up, but that I guess is why we are human.
But at the end of the day, it's only a car and may be repaired or even replaced.
And with great people around like you guys, I think I will get through this.
thanks again
Lance

Sorry for the loss, thankfully everybody is okay. Should be repairable. Looks like you'll need an A-Arm, Brake Line, Swap-Bar mount and bushing, Front Fender, Header Panel, etc, etc. It going to cost. Thankfully there are plenty of cars being parted out. Best of luck.

Unhappy

Lance,

I was really sorry to see that happen to your car, especially on that day (we ended up doing almost 1000kms (of twisty mountain roads) after looping back to Vancouver through Washington state). It was good to see that you and your passenger were alright, that's the main thing. You probably avoided some injuries with your quick decision not to hit the truck.

I don't have any of the parts you're looking for but I would like to lend a hand with any labour you might need. I bet we could get you back in that thing before the next auto cross.

We can have a Tech Session Weekend and all pitch in to help once all the parts are in. Waterguy's fresh from rebuilding his so it'll be a cake-walk <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Thanks Buddy.
I just got off the phone with Burrard Autostrasse, great guy John is.
He spent a good deal of time and patience with me as I went through the damage.
without seeing it he reckons 10hrs on the frame jig otta do it.
But I gotta strip it down and if the rails are out, the engine needs to come out, good reason to rebuild
I am trying to be positive about this and turn a bad thing into something good.
I know it's going to cost me money but thats the price we pay for mistakes I guess.

k27: that looks like it can be repaired, pity if it isn't.. the numbver of turbos keeps decreasing every year...!

Yes if you get that rebuild and the car painted, it will be showroom once again.
