How do you put a 944 on a lift?
My friend just got power to his garage yesterday, and we're throwing the 944 on the lift to install my rear Koni's. It's a two post lift, the kind that has four arms with pads on them. Where should I place the pads at?

That's an "iffy" question. Make sure you understand before you put the car on a lift. Look under the side of the car, just behind the front wheel, and just in front of the rear wheel, are the jacking locations. They look like square pegs coming off the bottom of the car. I hope someone here gets a picture up. Look in your owners manual for the jacking locations.
Once you get the lift centered on these, raise the car a few inches off the ground. Give it a couple of good shakes, just to make sure it isn't going to fall off the lift.

Use the jack points, right behind the wheel arch in the front and just before the wheel arch in the rear. IIRC they are pretty obvious when you crawl under the car and take a look
I wish I had free access to such a lift as well!
edit: Ben beat me to it! <img border="0" alt="[bigbye]" title="" src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" />

Alright, I know exactly what you're talking about. My car was up on jackstands for most of the winter , so I know those points. I just wanted to make absolutely sure. We'll also have his mechanic-father there incase anything goes drastically wrong.

Ah, these cars can take more than you think! Just make sure you position on the jack points correctly, no problemo!
Over the last 3 weeks we've had my car up on lifts, jack stands, etc. Just always line them up right.

The funny thing about that picture of the jackstand points is that it fails to locate the two blatantly obvious front jackstand points right behind the wheel-wells. I place my main jackstands there and put the emergency jackstands on the structural members where he has the main jackstands.
I have one warped rocker (there are only two rockers on the car, unless you meant that the rockers are warped in 4 places) that is warped front and back. It looks to me as though one or more POs had a flat and tried to jack the car up at the corners instead of in the middle.
