Post Refinished Fuchs - Which do you like better?

Hi all,
I refinished my Fuchs on my early car this weekend (using Danno's method - thanks Danno!) and I want to get your impressions on which style you like better

First the before pics

Front: <img src="http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/oldfrontfuch.jpg" alt=" - " />
As you can see, the fronts were in horrible shape.

The rears weren't MUCH better, but weren't quite as bad:

I decided I wanted to paint the centers to match the car (Gemini Grey Metallic), but wasn't sure if I would like it better with polished or painted spokes. Before you say anything, yes, the tires Are filthy, they have since been cleaned.

Which do you like better?

New Front

Or the new rear:

I really need to polish mine.
I'm going to vote for the Gemini Gray centers.
Nice job, BTW. How long did it take?

I have to say polished, but it really is up to you

If you can't make up your mind, polish the driver's side and paint the passenger side wheels <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

I don't like the polished. Too flashy, IMO.

The gray is pretty and different!

From the pics provided, I have to say I like the gray. Would maybe change my mind if I saw a photo of the whole car with the different wheels. But that is just my opinion, and the one that really matters is YOURS!

Keep the gray, paint the lugnuts flat black, and paint the centercap crests. They'll look like a million bucks.

Polished spokes don't look right on cars without chrome accents (early early 911s). I'd say paint the spokes. I'd say paint 'em black, too...Gray looks a bit like, well, faded black...

Painting the centercaps also sets them off. I didn't plan on it, but after seeing some pictures and hearing my friend say "It looks like someone stole your hub caps," it just seemed like a good idea...

The Fuchs painted all Gemini Gray metallic (or all black) might look very good.

I personally like full polish on Fuchs but they also look good if the "windmill" spokes are highly shined and the background portion of each spoke is done in gloss black. Alternatively, you could paint the centers gloss black, ala cookie cutters, with a high polish on the rims. In any case, dull alumninum and flat paint just doesn't make it for me.

Thanks for the input and compliments everyone. I like the painted centers myself and will probably end up going with that. I'm glad I did both though, because now I can be sure which I like better.
Lugnuts are up this weekend!
BTW - Pete, the process is very time consuming, depending on the state of the wheels. I'd say between taping/oven-cleaner/scrubbing/taping/painting/drying/polishing/polishing/polishing/polishing it took about 3-4 hours per wheel. YMMV.

I'll try to throw up some pics of the whole car later.

Consider doing everything but the lip in G-Gray. I saw a silver 911 last weekend that had Fuchs with a polished lip, and spokes/centers painted to match the car. Very subtle, very nice.

Or polish the whole wheel...
