my friend's gone off the deep end with this sentra project
About a year ago, my friend came to me with this crazy idea about running a little boost on his second sentra, well a year later and a lot of time, aggrevation, blood, sweat, tears and fun and this is what we have, it's almost complete, we still have a few little odds and ends to do but let me know what you guys think!

Well to each his own. What year is the sentra? He should go to the NIHRA circuit. Those guys are coming will be in Reynolds Ga. in June. I might check it out. Take the '44 and watch some rice shred up the drag strip. Of course I will not be competing. I'm sure there will be some euros there also (mainly VW).

Well, that appears to be a Bluebird or Avenir SR20DET. I recognizee the manifold but can't remember the name of the folks that produce it. Probably a T04E turbo or something really really close. Top feed injectors (probably 550s) on a JWT or FTF rail. It's a 91 or 92 Sentra SE-R (I own a 91).
If this is tuned properly, it should lay down in the neighborhood of 400 hp to the wheels on race fuel. I hope he's using a JWT ECU.
What's your friend's name? I probably know him or know of him.
Not an uncommon set-up these days. I know several folks who have similar set-ups, although the equal length manifold is a beautiful piece of work.
Is he upgrading the suspension and brakes or is he just a drag racer? BTW, if he's going to add gauges and needs adapters for adding the water temp and oil pressure, have him go to my web site: http://www.nissport.com
Oh, and for the 944 folks here, don't think this is your typical rice burner. The SE-R is a very competent package with great handling and brakes. In fact, in my race this weekend (SCCA ITS - same as the 944) I didn't come across anyone with brakes to match the SE-R and at one point I passed 3 (yes 3) cars under braking. I also out braked a 911. No lie.

ahh geo, i was hoping to hear from you. i think my friend does know of you or you've talked to him. it's a 91 se-r that's going to be a drag racer (that's what he's into). he's had his ecu done by jwt. actually, pretty much all your guesses are spot on, how do you do it? i don't actually know injector size or fuel rail details but you're probably right about them too. his name is sean.

One of my really good friends is responsible in some way or another for about 2/3 of the aftermarket for these cars. I even did an article for Sport Compact Car on the swap of a Bluebird SR20DET into my Infiniti G20 (RIP).

The equal length turbo manifold is somewhat uncommon, but I have several friends with similar or better set-ups. In fact, it's common enough and has been tested enough that I can tell you fairly closely how much power it should put down with proper tuning.
