Default NA Air Box

Is it me or is the airbox on the early NA a PITA to get on and off?

its definitely you , pulling the early airbox takes 2 minutes max

three nuts on the black bracket to the radiator frame
hoseclamp holding the AFM to the j-boot
2 bolts at the black bracket behind the box that attach to the body\
if you have it, hose clamp for the belt cover hose

oh i meant its a pain removing the j boot, the hard lines always give me a bad time.

you dont need to remove the j boot to remove the airbox, just disconnect it from the box

I unbolt the AFM from the box. Very easy.

you must have tiny hands or a pretty trick socket setup to get the afm off easily...that bottom, frontmost bolt is a @#$%&

I just use a quarter inch drive rachet with a 3" (?) swivel extension. Nothing too exotic. I think I got the swivel extension set from Harbor Freight for very little.
