Question Replacing waterpump - How Difficult?

I may have a leaking waterpump, so I need to get it done quickly or send it to a shop. I read over the procedure at the 944 Garage and it looks time consuming, but not all THAT difficult. I'm no ace mechanic, so can some of you who did this on your own share your experience or thoughts? If I can save the 5 or 6 bills, I will. But then again, I want it done right...
Also, I would have to work in the parking lot, as I don't have a garage here in NYC.

I have changed one pump and it took me about twice as long as I thought it would. One of the bolts broke off in the block and I had to remove it, plus I took my time. This was several years ago, and I remember when finishing that I did not want to change another one.
