Did anyone else notice the stubby spoiler on the back? I really think it looks great.

You're right that does look impressive. I assumed it was the standard 944 spoiler before looking at it more closely.

Or maybe we can get Fibrewerks to make something similar

Anybody (from the USA of course) with experience in ordering stuff from Oberhausen? What are the usual shipping costs?

Has anyone seen something similar here in the USA? I once call a company that has an ad in Excellence magazine (I forget the name), they had a 944 to 968 conversion but when I called they told me that it was still in the works...

It looks almost exactly like a 968 nose with the top trimmed off. Anyone tried to fit a 968 nose to a 944 yet?

And if your ambitious, you could probably make a glass or carbon nose using a modified 968 piece for a mold plug. It's not really that difficult to lay glass, just a bit time consuming.

The fender gaps are different on the 944 and the 968, that's why this bumper is so sweet. The best part of it all is that the 944 guys can finally have a front end that looks better than the 951 guys [who can't do it cuz their fenders are different].

OK Here is my .02 worth as a Fiberwerks front-end owner. First of all I have to admit that this European product is a very nice conversion for our cars. This is not to say that the Fiberwerks is any less of a front end than this one is by any stretch. It really comes down to ones personal likes and dislikes. There are pros and cons for both of these conversions that I am sure any one could pick apart or defend but I have to go back to the fact that it is all up to personal opinion and nothing short of this. IMHO I think the Fiberwerks made front end is of a better design and function over the depicted one here. Oh and to be fare I chose my fiberwerks already having known about this one and another made by a company in Switzerland, and I still chose Fiberwerks. I did so for several reasons. One of which is the fact that it was made in the USA, secondly is that fact that if anything goes wrong with this part I am totally positive that Fiberwerks will assist me in resolving or even replacing this part with little to no hassle in the process. For those of you who have never shipped anything from over seas I will warn you right now. The fees are hefty to say the least. Also there is sometimes a language barrier to over come in the process not to mention what happens if there is a problem with the product. I am not knocking overseas product nor am I trying to tell any one what to do. Just know the facts before you decide on a product based on an emotion and not the facts. I will say it again.

I love this Fiberwerks front end and will proudly drive my car anywhere.

When you finally get your conversion completed give me a call, well swap pictures and I will take you out for a drink. I’ll have too.. You’ll be broke.. “JK”

Holes” and well we all know the rest

Keep the rubber side down.

[quote] Screw fibrewerks, that's the sweetest thing I've ever seen...and I already have the turn signal housings!!

I'm not defending anyone, but I do think you should do research before you say this...

I emailed Fiberwerks about their product and received a reply THE SAME DAY. Granted it is $450 but no extra lights are needed.

I have known about this 968 conversion company for some time, but the main reason why I didn't post anything about it is because I emailed them over a month ago TWICE and NEVER received ANY reply.

So you want to give your money to an overseas company to try to get your '44 to look like a 968 who never responds to emails, feel free. If you can get them to respond (German OR English) then I'd be interested.

Until then, Fiberwerks has my vote.

Just my .0000000001 cents.

Most European companies have some sort of distributor or franchise in the US. I wonder if these folks do? I will send them and email...
