The data in the .bin is not stock factory... But should be close, perhaps a slight bit more timing on the WOT map than factory.

I just recently dyno-tuned a local S2... and started with a common aftermarket performance chip. We made more power by removing timing! The aftermarket chip had way too much timing.

I just tried to unzip the bundle, worked fine.
I have a promax chip at the moment, but I have the original eprom as well so I intend to read both and compare.

Interesting. If you are closer to stock than the aftermarket chip, and you are producing more power, it doesn't reflect too badly on the factory tune. I've tried an aftermarket chip in my S2, but honestly couldn't feel any difference in responsiveness or power... perhaps the idle wasn't quite as smooth as factory was the only discernable difference for me.

The redline was supposed to be raised to 7000 in the aftermarket chip (up from factory 6200, I think). One of the reasons I was looking at it... thought this by itself might be potentially useful in a track day situation.

Does the DIY tune kit allow for redline adjustment?

Rogue,

From perusing the PT and WOT fuel and ignition maps, I notice some unusual patterns:

The WOT fuel map appears to reduce fuel over the PT map for 5000 rpm+
The timing advances as load increases for WOT over PT, yet the fuel decreases.

Are you able to explain this.

Thanks

Eric

VE of the motor is dropping. The factory-style programming did this with the 951 maps as well.

how does 968 stuff differ from S2? guess you can upload the chip to Ostrich and then adjust fuel and timing like in other cars?

My dad has a 968 swapped s2, ill ask him if he feels like messing with some tuning. I know he wants more go. We live in the springs.

Programming is different, as are the maps...

Hmm, well let me know - though I won't get to it before the new year.
