all the Ferrari interiors from the 308 to the F-355 look totally "kit car."
the 360 Modena has the first of the modern interiors imo.
i love the *** of the 355. but very little else about that and every other Ferrari built before the 360.

I'm in the early 308's have sexy interiors club, but then I like early 944 dashboards!
To each there own!

The engines didn't have to come out for timing belt replacements on any 308/328 I have owned. The 348/355 models are ones that involve engine-out service. My major maintenance service cost itself has been around $3K. I change the timing belts every five years (which was the original interval, if not every 30K miles) , although there is bulletin which has been debated in Ferrari sites about doing belts every three years.
I don't have experience with Ferrari clutch replacements, as I have never had to get them done.
I have averaged $1K per year in F car maintenance expenses.

My fault...sorry about that. I got the records confused. The 308's service bill was over 6 grand but they rebuilt the brake calipers and serviced the CIS. One 512's last service bill at Ferrari of Denver was $11,800, and that's engine-out.
The 308's belt job looks straightforward--if I had one I'd be doing it myself!

i want a 360 mod. terribly. the oldest Ferrari i would be willing to own. people put high miles on these cars.
not excruciatingly bad on upkeep. (as the engine doesn't have to come out for service). same with the F-430.
the 355 isn't an easy car to drive daily. ($$$) Clarkson had only 6,000 miles on his in the first five years.

comparing the wrong apple with apple .. haven't read the whole thread and I appologize if this is a repeat post
the 308 compeition of the day was the 911SC. the Fcar is a 3 litre V8 competing with the 3.0 litre flat six . a few years later the competative companies were still at at . Ferrari uped the displacement to 3.2 making the 328 and Porsche did the same with the Carrera with it's 3.2

you guys need to go see the interiors of a 328, 348, Mondial and F-355.
compare to the 360 mod, 575, 599, California, etc.... they all rock !
i'll post some pics of some awful and beautiful interiors here.
i would still be very happy with a 355, however. that *** is the best EVERRRRRR !!!!
ok the first 3 fotos are from a 1994 and then a 1995 348.... as hacker demonostrates, the 355, not much better,
to me, the look of both cars quite, "kit car...."

Back to original topic, the 3xx and 944 are not cars to typically compare against each other, rather they are better as complements to each other. Each car serves a purpose depending on my mood and objective at that particular time.

ok, hacker got the 355, and i put up photos of the 348. neither looking very good in my opinion.
the next fotos are interior shots from 2 360s.... i didn't get a shot with a six speed on the floor until the final photo....
i wish the air vents were larger, still, i think the interior is gorgeous.![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)

The only real better looking portion is the seats.

Sorry to get off topic here but my GOD that jessica alba lookin chic avatar is brilliant. Anyway, my dad got Mondial Cabriolet because he wanted a 4 place convertible as similar to my 308 as possible. The 308 aint fast, its how you got there. I'll never sell the car, I'll give it to my son Graham when he shows me he can care for it properly. My other son Austin will get my 944 Turbo S.
