My fuel pump on my 968 broke at a race in Carolina this year and someone lent me a 944 turbo pump, it worked fine, just had to change out the fittings. It was blue in color and a little bit smaller but the car ran fine. When I got home I put in a new 968 pump and I returned the pump. Thanks to Dan Jacobs at Hairy Dog Garage for the loaner!!!!!!

They are different - if you go to cannell.co.uk in the manuals section there is a file called bosch technical reference for fuel pumps - it lists pump numbers - just take those numbers and cross reference to the Porsche PET for your year and model. They are different pumps though I don't know in what ways.
