Real Electric Supecharger!!
This has gotta be the the craziest electric supercharger yet. The only car that can use one of these are the Hybrid cars as they are the only ones that can generate that kind of votage and current!!

Kompressor is German for supercharged. My Mercedes came that way from the factory. Its a regular old Eaton like you might see in after market kits. It puts out about 8 PSI but im looking to boost that up to about 12 or so.

You're supposed to blow aft, Danno. That works.

Yeah, a turbo typically runs in the 80,000-110,000 RPm range. I don't think you're going to be getting much volume and boost out of that electric motor... Not to mention you need a regulation mechanism to yield constant boost with RPM, meaning you have to change the motor's RPM with engine speed somehow.

I thought all of the Mercedes superchargers (Kompressors) were clutch driven, not a standard direct drive?

well, i will say, that is the only one i seen that would actually work IMHO thats been on Ebay...
although i dont think your going to see much performance gains from adding the number of batters it needs to get the rpms that the turbo/SC runs....

The Kompressors are run on a magnetic cluch. Its easily replaced with a solid pully. (one of my next items) The supercharger comes up when ya hit the gas a little, its not on at cruising speed or idle so I guess you get the best of both worlds, power when you want it and gas milage at crusing speed.
