Post An Offset Question..... A little different so have a look....

Ok, well we have all seen the conversations about what is the widest wheel / tire you can fit on a 944. And I know I can get a inch wide wheel up front.

Now my question is, starting with a early offset 951, and using OEM 17 x 9 inch wheels, what size spacers would I need on the front. Its a common thing for us to run the 9 inch wide wheels on the front, but I'm going to try and run 9's all around w/ 255's on Yoko A032R (Rotating the tires at the track would be nice).....

And as a side note I'll use the 7's on my VW, with a nifty little adaptor you can mount them up, so i'll have both rides on Cup rims... (and I'll have a set of early offset cup replicas for sale)

I have late offset 17" by 8.5" FRH International Turbo Twist wheels (guess based on measurements and what they actually sell) with 235 rubber on my front and without any spacers I had no rubbing issues at all on my 86 951 before swapping up to the late offset suspension there. I have the M030 suspension from an 89 under my front end to go with it as well which was under there when I bought it. I would guess any issues might be with where the extra width on the wheel and tire will go on the wheels you are looking at. If it's all to the inside, then I would guess the Danno recommended spacers for using late offset wheels on an early offset car would be more than enough.

Hope that helps some....
