Post Lost my drivers side mirror. now what?

I was driving about 55 mph, when the glass part of my outside driver's door mirror just let go.
anyone know if a replacement mirror is available?

I'll get a temporary bulls-eye cheap one tomorrow, but has this happened to anyone else?

happened to me, i closed the door and it fell to the ground and broke in two. i went to a local auto glass place, first they ordered me the wrong piece, then they found the right one locally and glued it on.

The part number in the book that most of the glass shops have is wrong, you need to order the one for the 928, if you look at the picture and the dimensions you will see this.

Thanks! It was delaminating at the bottom a little anyway- Guess it was really time to replace it!

If it's the same as the 944 I've got one from the parts car at the house.

Sounds like time to do the 968 mirror upgrade to me, Chris.

Now you know why I have that hulk (covered) sitting in my side yard. You all just need to explain it to my neighbors.

Parts cars rock!

Mine fell off when I closed the door. By some miracle it hit the blacktop, bounced and landed with only a small chip out of it where it hit! Glued it in with 3M super weatherstrip adhesive. My passenger side mirror tried the same thing but I managed to pull it off and glue it on before it fell.
