Question Driving, Hit the gas, gas flow stops?

Hey,
Alright I'm driving around doing like 30mph not high rpms or anything. Then when I hit the gas the car stops, like gas is being stopped somewhere. I don't know if it's the fuel filter or not, I'd like to figure it out before going to my mechanic. He checked it out once he didn't know what it was he said just don't floor it. He probably didn't want me to waste any more $$$$$ for awhile since I just spent about $500 for all new fuel injectors. Anybody think they know what the problem is?

My n/a did this. Was like hitting the rev limiter whenever I hit full throttle... My problem was the TPS.

TPS = throttle position switch...try cleaning the connector/plug it is where the big black rubber boot connects to the intake manafold

clark's has a good TPS write-up at:

<a href="http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/fuel-06.htm" target="_blank">http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/fuel-06.htm</a>

or the air flow meter at the front of the big black boot

<a href="http://www.frwilk.com" target="_blank">http://www.frwilk.com</a>

frwilk has very good info on the AFM...either could be involved

but how old is your fuel filter and there is a screen back there as well !

Thanks that really helped Tom. I took the boot connecting the throttle body to the intake. Needs a clean up reall bad there's black oil or whatever all over the place. Probably won't get a chance to do this till first weekend in June. Thanks for the help. Fuel filter says made in Germany so I'm guessing it's damn old but what screen are you talking about?
