Motor is just 6 bolts more than disconnecting the bellhousing...
The advantage of this is that you can see and reach the speed/reference sensors. Those are never easy to remove, in my experience.

When you're under the car trying to remove the bellhousing, it's not uncommon to forget that the sensors will prevent you from removing the housing. Then you break expensive parts (the sensors) that don't usually fail.
