Destroying a 944 on TV!
I was just channel-surfing and saw that Monday nite at 8PM on DISCOVERY there is a program called MONSTER GARAGE...they're gonna turn a "european sports-car" (eg: 944NA) into a golfball picker-upper at a driving range!!!!
Blasphemy!!!!! ( did I spell that right?)

Actually it's a great show. Jesse James (of Harley modification fame) is the chief protagonist. Last week the modified a Chevy into a Zamboni.
At least the 944 na will get airtime and should be interesting-but the rear spoiler on the promo was a definite after market job.
And the knocks on us na drivers

i'm sure you didnt mean anything by it, but come on they shouldnt be doing it to ANY porsche, doing it on the bottom-end 944 doesnt make it any better.

Lets all get together and protest. Where is this filmed? We should all get in our cars 944 N/A, 951,924, etc. etc. and block traffic with a cruse to protest.
And N/A bottom of the model!!! Try and say that next season on the track pal!! I'll show you what the bottom looks like. When the green flag drops the BS stops, see you at the finish line

I agree, a nice 944 parade would show them.
Why couldent they find a nice Honda to chop up. I just know they are going to cut up something that I can use. Jesse James just dropped a notch in my book. Yet last weeks show was pretty good.
O/T
I am getting a bit tired of the constant N/A bashing from some people on the board. Just to bring some back to reality.
The turbo and S and S2 would have never exsisted if not for the success of the 944na.
As far as sales were concerned, the N/A outsold them all. And despite other belifes. It was not purely because of the price difference (which wasent as large as some think it was). Alot of buyers preferred the N/A over the turbo. It was and still is a matter of preference when it comes to turbocharged cars. I prefer natural power. Not a car with a lowered compression ratio and a restrictive exhaust until the thing spools up and makes power.
On top of that, most of the N/A and the turbo were the same car. There were some differences but for the most part the car itself was a N/A with a turbocharger,a new nose, a rear valence to cover the muffler, bigger brakes, and a beafier trans and clutch.
