Talked to Tony's today. I am impressed with this place because they said it was NOT (I repeat) NOT a head gasket.

It was the heater valve, and somehow that was causing air to get into the system. Now the only problem is that the water isn't circulating, so we're probably looking at a water pump.

Much less expensive then a head gasket. Thank goodness. Very cool of them to not just say it was a head gasket even though it wasn't.

I bought a Mercedes heater-valve for $22 that appears to work well. Just wish it wasn't right smack over the clutch though...
