New Rennlist Member...
ok.. after being banned from pelican, i now arive at the Rennlist doorstep..
to get things archieved now, can someone please tell me how lenient the moderators are here? funny pics, humor, jokes.. how far can one go? the whole peter pan thing at pelican flew for a while, and after that, i was finally banned for saying "****"
the main purpose for me is to get technical advice on my car, BUT, its fun to have a group of guys to joke around with and actually LOOK FORWARD to checking a new post at rennlist..

Actually Shaun, this is a public forum like many others. I will say that it is a bit more mature than that of the Pelican site.
Your profanity at that site and posting messages just to start bickering matches between you and some of the other "youngsters" over there was one of the main resons I haven't logged on for over a year. There was way too much BS over there.
I think you'll find a familiar name in the moderator,,I do hope you've grown up a bit. If so welcome to the board,,if you haven't then your threads are of no use to me.

Umm - there is only one moderator in this Forum - but he seems like a terrific guy...
Personally - I think he is fair, unbiased, great sense of humor (often times a much needed attribute 
- and can throw out an occasional Flame or two, depending on how stupid the an individual's post is...)
Seriously - I manage most of the Forums (except the 911 Forum, 964, Racing and a few others) myself and also manage all the 62 e-mail lists (which are pretty big with 63,000+/- subscribers).
Anyway - to see some straightforward and simple guidelines - pop over here:

I'm going to be the one to come off rude here, but whatever, I think this needs to be said.
I stopped reading pelican because no talent *** clowns like yourself and craig (or whatever his alias of the week is) made the board unreadable. If you got banned it was for a reason, take that experience and learn from it. Everyone enjoys a decent joke every once in a while, but thats the key, keeping it decent and every once in a while.
If all of the people banned from pelican come over here and make a mess I will be pissed because I don't know any other decent boards with so many good knowledgable people.
In general, keep your **** clean and try to conduct yourself with as much maturity as possible.

It is never a good sign when you start seeing a lot of "pelican" screen names on Rennlist. I hope you all behave over here. "Craig944" or whatever name he was using before used to get flamed over here on a regular basis, until he was banned for a while. I think you find that most of the people (not all) on this board are here for information about their cars and discussion about their cars, not insulting others or being crass or rude. I truly hope that those of you that have been "banned" from Pelican (I can't imagine what you had to do to be banned from Pelican especially when you consider some of the crappy posts that fly over there) will conduct yourselves like adults over here. It would be a real tragedy if this board suffered the same fate as Pelican. i.e. mostly crap, very little info/tech assist.
