Looking for any info on Precision Motorsport in Shelton, CT. I did the Google thing and nothing bad came up, but just thought I'd check here to be sure.

I'm waiting for some parts I got from them on eBay; will know shortly. They don't seem to be great communicators.

I have bought from them without issue once for what it's worth.

I've bought from them many many many times on eBay. Very happy with them so far! I don't believe you can go wrong.

He's a young guy that parts cars out at home. He has TONS of used 944 Turbo parts. I have bought from him and picked the stuff up so I saw the PILES of bits he's got. Prices were good for used parts and we ended up buying a full turbo nose in the same color as out 944 NA that included every part need including the hardware; lights, wiring, batwing thingy, little black rocker extensions, everything for $1000. In nice shape and didn't need to paint. The perfrect swap. Looks great. I think he only does Turbo's though.

+1

I managed to largely resist the urge to buy more stuff... but he's got a ton of stuff and is very easy to work with.

I didn't know Mike and Precision Motorsport in Shelton CT where the same I have met Mike and he is a good guy (I have a buddy who buys from him with no problems and I was going to buy a set of sway bars but did not) but he is very knowledgeable, and has tons of parts. I would buy from him and will check with him before looking else where.

Thanks everyone. I'm hoping to pick up a transmission but sorting out shipping is a bear.

Spring forward 2.5 years.......

Glad to hear Mike and Precision is the real deal but I'm in the same situation as chrenen....can't get anything shipped.

Precision has ideal parts I'm sourcing but will not ship from Ebay. I pinged them asking if they have a 3rd party contact in Shelton who picks up the parts that I can deal with directly for shipping etc but the response was : "sorry, no shipping."

CT must has a lot of crappy 951 drivers who keep him busy but if anyone has a local contact who is willing to pick up and ship, obviously for a fee, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Shipping a transmission should not be a big deal. I have parted several 944 cars and shipped transmissions double boxed with styrofoam blocking. - They can go Fedex Ground 135 lbs 37 x18 x18 approx $130 NC to CA and about $90 NC to Illinios.

I went to his house but dealt with his father. Bought a set of wheels from him. Fair price. He buys 944 and 951s and parts them out. His garage looks like where water cooled Porsches go to die.
