Talking New toys finally installed!

Just got my car back from the shop today...

I now have power steering, no AC crap, the alternator moved & rebrushed, mildly bumped swaybars, and re-worked starter!

The power steering pump (rebuilt) puked on the way home so we will be going back soon, but thats not the point...

The real winner is the exhaust!

MSDS Ceramic coated headers, 2.5" back w/ removable cat (test pipe), Flowmaster "muffler" and decent new tip!

OK, the previous Glasspack was loud, but this is something different! Almost the thought of Ricey, but not?, and WOT is SICK! No appriciable loss of low end touque, but no real flat spot anymore! Top end feels reeeal nice now.

Do I need to try and get a vid? I think the fam's digital camera will do 15 second clips w/ sound, just dunno if it can handle it. Plus, I have no place to post it for others to see....

Is anyone interested enough?

Just though I'd share!

That exhaust sounds sweet. Do you mind letting me know the approximate cost and where you got it as we both have the same vehicle?

Chris,

Sounds as if you are pleased with the upgrades. Which shop did you use for the work?

Talking

I'll have to try the digi-cam at home first (nice to use a new toy)... but the server space would certainly be cool!

Most all my work goes through Dave Handza in Braddock, he took my car to his exhaust guy...

Total cost on the exhaust:
MSDS Headers $250
Flowmaster $65
Tip $20
Installation of Headers (finiky studs) $110 by Dave
All exhaust fitting, pipe bending (2.5"), test pipe, and new cat: $250

All totaling $695... well more like $700 or so

Shame the power steering puked, i would of really enjoyed busing it out today!

I think a pittsburgh area get together would be fun. I live about 40 miles north of the burg and nobody in my town has a 944( or a porsche for that matter) I would love to see some other local 944's

Judd,

The PVGP is coming up in July. "Porsche" is the featured marque. Check out the ARPCA website for more information. There is always a good turn-out of P-cars. I will have my car out for Saturday's festivities, you should plan on coming down--the more 944s the better.

Judd, Chris, and project,

Looking forward to seeing/meeting you all at the event--Look for the white 951 at left with a Rennlist decal. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
